Time is always a scarce resource when on holiday, with so much to do and so little time we have come up with CPHD tour for those who wish to tour the Cape Peninsula tour but do not have the time for a full day tour, this 5 hour Cape Peninsula Half Day Tour is the option for you. The tour covers almost everything that is included in the full day tour (excluding Kirstenbosch Gardens), but with less time available.
From Cape Town CBD we pass through Newlands and Bishopscourt and head for the False Bay coastline. This takes us to the fishing village of Kalk Bay where you get the chance to catch a glimpse of the shops along main road before ending at the Olympia Café for coffee and refreshments. We follow the coast all the way to Cape Point, via Boulders Penguin Colony . Once at Cape Point, you can walk up (or take the funicular) to the old lighthouse.
On returning to the vehicle we zip down to the Cape of Good Hope for a brief photo and walk about before leaving the reserve.
We then make our way out of the reserve and follow the road along the Atlantic Ocean, passing through the villages of Scarborough, Misty Cliffs and Kommetjie. Should Chapman’s Peak Drive be open, we wind our way over the pass following the coastline back to Cape Town passing through Hout Bay, Camps Bay, Clifton and Sea Point .
This tour, although being a half day tour, can start at 10H00 and end at 15H00 to include a lunch en route (at own expense).
This tour can be done in the opposite direction if so desired.
